What has proven to be a tough season for Penarth draws to a close. The side has experienced good success running into Christmas but has struggled for results in the second half of the season. A string of recent defeats has seen the team Penarth stuck in the bottom third of the table, safe from relegation but reflecting on a poor season all in all. Away at Abercynon, the side lost 18-12 a game that simply got away from them in horrendous conditions. Further loses against promotion chasing Llantrisant and Dowlais left the team heading to Treherbet in search of a win to finish the season on a high.
Unfortunately that wasn’t to be the case with the valley side coming away with a 22-8 victory, leaving Penarth slightly dejected. That didn’t stop the boys enjoying the trip back to Cardiff, with stop offs in several pubs on the way down the valley!!!
Although disappointing, the season has been enjoyed by all and Owain and Penarth RFC would like to thank Cambria Consulting for their support in the 2015-2016 Season.
