Cambria were appointed as Civil and Structural Consultants for the construction of the new Lexus Showroom and Service Centre Building with an associated Valet Bay Building and Car Parking for 96 vehicles. The site is prominently situated in the go to area for vehicle retail in the city.
The front of house showroom display area comprises of a 30 metre wide, 2 storey clear space, enclosed by a full height glazed curtain wall with a bespoke entrance lobby.
An office area behind this space includes a mezzanine level, including plant room, parts store and archive storage. The rear of the building houses a workshop area with piston driven car lifting apparatus installed beneath the floor.
The steel frame building is clad to customer brand requirements with integral signage. A parapet encloses the roof, with an internal gutter, allowing for concealed rainwater pipes within the building. Both the main building and the valet bay building are founded on piled foundations.
The car park runs right to the site boundary & highway and has been designed to fit with the neighbouring site levels, the drainage design includes attenuation crates sunk beneath the car park. Cambria’s services included an environmental assessment, a flood consequence assessment, a transport assessment and travel plan.
