Our Approach

Cambria Consulting were the appointed Civil and Structural engineers for the Secure by Design specification for this BIM Level 2 project in Neath Port Talbot. Ysgol Bro Dur forms a key part of the 21st Century Schools Programme.

The new Welsh Medium Secondary School; Ysgol Bro Dur, is be located on the site of former Sandfields Comprehensive School and Traethmelyn Primary School, on the opposite side of the road from Ysgol Bae Baglan.

The new school was built to accommodate 650 pupils, aged 11 – 16.

Ysgol Bro Dur, went on to win Best Inclusive Building and runner up for the Best Educational Building at the Local Authority Building Excellence Awards 2019.
