At the end of September, Cambria had the privilege of attending a Community Celebration Event hosted by Investors in People (IIP) at the iconic St David’s Hotel in Cardiff Bay. The occasion brought together organisations from across Wales to recognise their achievements in gaining the prestigious Investors in People accreditation.
A community interest company, Investors in People, which is recognised in more than 70 countries, champions workplace excellence by helping organisations strengthen their culture and demonstrate a commitment to employee development.
Celebrating ‘making work better’
The event began with an inspiring photo presentation, followed by a thought-provoking panel discussion led by Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People. Leaders from three accredited organisations also contributed, emphasising the critical role of supportive leadership in creating thriving workplaces.
A lively Q&A session followed, giving attendees the chance to explore practical ways to help employees excel while fostering a positive and inclusive work culture.
Following the panel discussion, a presentation was delivered by Welsh hockey star turned entrepreneur Ria Burrage-Male, founder and director of mindset and wellness organisation KIBO, who shared valuable insights on improving wellbeing and performance.
The event concluded with a networking lunch, providing an excellent opportunity to connect with peers and exchange ideas on building better workplaces.
