We have a particular expertise in delivering the widest range of developments for private developers where the key issues are to be on time and within budget to help Clients maximise their profit margin. We have successfully delivered the widest range of projects from entire Business Parks to individual developments including:

  • Food and Non-Food Retail Stores
  • Light Industrial Units
  • Single and multi-storey Office Blocks

All are delivered with the primary aim of minimising construction costs and limiting our Client’s project risks at all times. We are also committed to a real “Team” ethos and will pro-actively try to help resolve any problems that may arise with clever, innovative solutions to drive the project forward.

 In our experience most of a development’s construction risk is “in the ground” and this is closely followed by the risk of additional costs or delays arising from the need to secure approvals from statutory authorities. We know of Clients who have spent significant sums on extensive site survey works but still failed to secured the desired approvals or been able to effectively control the abnormal risks to the project. Our strategy is to always adopt a measured, step by step approach which means the site survey works are always limited and targeted to the site in question. We can then deliver solutions tailored to securing the required approvals at minimum cost. Typical examples of the engineering related issues where we can have a big impact on controlling the risk from escalating costs or programming risks to a development include:

  •  Ground contamination remediation and verification strategies.
  • Consents for new adopted drainage requiring S104 Agreements
  • Adopted sewer diversion approvals requiring S185 Agreements
  • Highway related works requiring S278/S38/S111 Agreements
  • Delivering effective flood mitigation works to EA/NRW approval
  • Obtaining surface water discharge consent Licences to watercourses

We know how vital it is for our developer Clients to have cost certainty and we always strive to help minimise their exposure to what we consider to be the entirely foreseeable and manageable risks to their project.
