Many of our development projects involve sites with poor ground conditions that would have previously been too expensive to develop economically. We routinely assess and specify a range of site specific cost effective options designed to improve the Engineering qualities of the natural ground to allow it to be economically developed.
Ground improvement techniques are designed to reduce the construction thickness of the external hard paved areas and in some instances can allow an access road to be constructed on ground that would have been previously incapable of supporting for any reasonable length of time without failing. Examples of the various types of ground improvement techniques we routinely specify include:
- Lime/Cement Stabilisation
- Dynamic Compaction
- Geo Membranes
- Encapsulation Techniques to Contain Contaminants.
- Reinforced Capping Layers
- Vibro Ground Improvement with Stone Columns.
- Vibro Compaction
- Surcharge Loading
