Loadbearing Masonry

We have considerable expertise (6.2)(link to relevant case study?) in the design and detailing of this versatile and durable material involving new buildings and those within Conservation areas and restoration projects. We have developed a library of standard brickwork details which are tried and tested and make best use of the chosen masonry unit from both a structural and construction cost point of view. We routinely design and detail the following masonry related work:

  • Mass Blockwork Retaining Walls both Faced and Unfaced.

  • Dry Stone Walling.
  • Reinforced and Unreinforced Brickwork/Blockwork Wall Panels.

  • Loadbearing Walls of Solid and Cavity Construction.

  • Mortars.
  • Brickwork and Stonework Facing Repairs in Conservation Areas.

  • Natural Stone.
  • Specialist Strengthening Works to Existing Masonry.

  • Brickwork Cladding Panels to Timber Framed Buildings.

  • Engineering Bricks Within Foul Drainage Systems.

  • Refurbishment advice.
  • Repair Works to Brickwork Arches.
