Cambria join the Concrete Society Committee!

July 31st, 2017

Our Practice Secretary Trish Michael has been a proactive member of Women in Property for several years and has earned a bit of a reputation in the industry for getting things done.   In October 2016, Trish organised two WiP tables of ten to attend the Concrete Society Autumn Lunch which is one of the most popular and sought after events to attend in Cardiff Business Calendar.  It was at this event that the current Chairman of the Concrete Society Wales Region, Michael Amodeo of Hayes Amodeo approached Trish and asked if she would be interested in joining their committee.

Working in the construction industry for over 20 years and as a huge fan of the Concrete Society events Trish did not hesitate in saying yes, and was invited to attend the November 2016 committee meeting whereby she was voted in as a general committee member.

With a network of Concrete Society Regional Committees a comprehensive range of CPD, technical and social events are organised throughout the UK. As well as the technical benefits, these events provide an ideal forum for members to widen connections in the different sectors of the concrete industry enabling them to build up valuable business and social contacts.

Since joining, Trish has assisted in the committee with various tasks in setting up and promoting events, as well as recruiting new members and is loving every minute of it.
