Supporting Tŷ Hafan Through Volunteering

At Cambria Consulting, we believe that supporting our communities goes beyond fundraising. As part of our ongoing partnership with Tŷ Hafan Children’s Hospice, our team members are encouraged to get involved in meaningful ways, whether that’s raising money, volunteering their time, or lending a helping hand where it’s needed most.

This week, our colleague Rob used one of his designated charity days to volunteer at Tŷ Hafan, spending the morning working alongside the hospice’s gardening team to help maintain the beautiful grounds enjoyed by children and their families.

The outdoor spaces at Tŷ Hafan play an important role in creating a welcoming and peaceful environment for those visiting the hospice. Helping to keep these areas well cared for ensures that families can enjoy safe, relaxing spaces to spend time together.

During the day, Rob got involved in a variety of gardening activities, including mulching flower beds, watering plants, mowing grass, and helping to install a new log seat beside the racetrack play area.

Reflecting on his experience, Rob said:

“I really enjoyed the morning – it was really rewarding to help the gardening team with their brilliant work to maintain such a pleasant space for the children and families who use the hospice. Everyone was extremely welcoming, which made it a thoroughly enjoyable experience.”

Rob’s experience highlights the impact that volunteering can have, not only for the organisations we support but also for those who take part. By offering employees designated charity days, Cambria Consulting aims to encourage meaningful community engagement and provide opportunities for our team to contribute to causes that make a real difference.
