There’s nothing quite like a summer afternoon spent outdoors with good food, fun activities and great company. Our annual family gathering last Friday delivered all that and more!
This year’s event took place at Penarth Cricket club. We kicked things off at 2:30pm with a tasty array of snacks to keep everyone fuelled up and happy while the excitement built for the main meal. Not long after, the much-anticipated Flour’d Up Pizza arrived, with Mark serving up freshly made, delicious woodfired pizzas. They were an instant hit with everyone and were perfect for sharing under the summer sun.
Of course, no summer social is complete without plenty of activities to keep the crowd entertained. This year we went all out! Guests enjoyed classic carnival games, tested their skills on the Partee time mini golf course, and bounced to their hearts’ content on the inflatable castle provided by Mike’s Bouncy Castles. There was a lot of laughter as the kids and more than a few adults joined in the fun.
The day wrapped up with a spirited game of football, with the parents going toe to toe against the kids. As always, it brought out plenty of energy and competition, the perfect finale to an activity-packed afternoon.
Best of all, the weather was on our side. The sun stayed with us throughout, creating the perfect backdrop for a great summer’s day out.
