Cambria supports Hope Rescues Cosy Kennels Shoebox Appeal

December 18th, 2018

After the successful contribution made by our team to the Reverse Advent for Newport Foodbank last year, this year we decided to do something a little different!

This year, we chose to support Hope Rescue and their Cosy Kennel Shoebox Appeal. The appeal aims to help the hundreds of dogs that are abandoned every year and taken in by Hope Rescue, based in Llanharan. The majority of the dogs they help are stray dogs from Local Authority pounds which would otherwise be destroyed after completing their statutory 7 days in the pound. Hope Rescue commit to take as many stray dogs as possible from Local Authorities in South Wales and have the ethos that ‘no one gets left behind’ irrespective of age, breed or medical condition. They also aim to help owners that can no longer care for their dogs.

On Tuesday 18th December, Trish and Carys dropped of the huge donations made by all our employees to a very happy and grateful team of staff at Hope Rescue. They were then shown around the kennels and got to see some of the dogs that are up for adoption and the work that the staff and volunteers do every day in order to give these dogs the best life they can. Thank you to all our staff for the effort and contribution they made towards this cause!
