Sometimes, the best way to strengthen relationships, create lasting memories and have a bit of fun is to step away from our desks and try something completely different.
We headed to the beautiful Lisvane & Llanishen Reservoir for our latest team building event, and we couldn’t have asked for a better day. With glorious sunshine, stunning views across the water and plenty of enthusiasm (mixed with a little nervousness!), it was the perfect setting for an unforgettable day together.
The adventurous members of the team had the chance to try a variety of water-based activities, including:
- ⛵ Sailing
- 🛶 Kayaking
- 🌊 Paddleboarding
For some, it was their first time trying these activities, while others quickly discovered hidden talents they never knew they had. There were plenty of laughs, a few wobbly moments and lots of encouragement from colleagues cheering each other on.
While many of the team embraced the opportunity to get out on the water, not everyone attended the day – and that’s absolutely okay. One of our core values is ensuring that everyone feels included in a way that works for them. We never expect employees to participate in activities they don’t feel comfortable with, and we recognise that team building looks different for different people and should not be something people feel pressured into.
After a few hours of sailing, paddling, laughing and soaking up the sunshine, we rounded off the day at a local pub. It was the perfect way to finish a fantastic day.
