Regular teambuilding events are a calendar essential at Cambria Consulting, and for our latest outing, we ventured into the river Wye with Wye Valley Canoes.
Despite the drizzly and changeable weather, it was a fun-packed day with nearly the full Cambria team in attendance – only a ‘discerning’ few preferred to bow out from the day’s wet adventures.

We embarked on an 11.5 mile route along the picturesque Wye river, taking us from Glasbury to Whitney-on-Wye.

The route included a paddle through the picturesque town of Hay-on-Wye, known as the ‘town of books’ due to its many bookshops, as well as plenty of lush green scenery.

Stopping en-route, we enjoyed a pub lunch at the Three Tuns before climbing back into the canoes for the second leg of the journey.

Finally, it was time to put our paddles down – and enjoy a well-earned drink at The Boat Inn. All in all it was a wonderful day, with plenty of laughs – and only four capsized canoes!

We would like to thank Wye Valley Canoes for guiding us along the gorgeous river, as well as everyone who attended.
