We recently undertook the re-accreditation process for Investors in People, an anonymous survey and interview series that explores company culture and recognition of staff. And this year, we are proud to say that our external assessment culminated in a feedback report that we were utterly delighted with.
Our assessor, Jackie Lewis, from JL Training & Consultancy commented: “Congratulations to the team at Cambria for successfully being accredited with the ‘We invest in people’ standard, this was an extremely positive assessment, demonstrating it is a great place to work and with significant progress since your last assessment. It was a really positive experience being at Cambria, meeting your people and of course seeing your incredible facilities”.
The 25-page report was interesting to read, with extracts demonstrating that we have a positive company culture, and a cohesive team that supports and continually learns from one another:
Your survey scores “have improved considerably, with your scores being above the IIP and industry average. In the vast majority of organisations across industry sectors ‘Rewarding and recognising your people’ is the lowest scoring indicator however at Cambria you are a +0.7 above the IIP average which is a strong performing result. People were very positive about the range of rewards available and the recognition that is happening. Your hybrid working balance seems to be working well for the existing team, with many preferring to be in the office interacting with their colleagues.
The new facilities and reintroduction of the social events are positively contributing to team cohesion, the building of relationships across teams and increased collaboration. You clearly demonstrated that you meet the Investors in People Standard again”
We are particularly proud that our assessment found the Cambria team to be motivated, appreciated and valued for their contributions to work:
- People feel empowered and listened to and comfortable contributing to discussions around projects and making suggestions, people can make appropriate decisions within their roles and understand their level of accountability
- People are motivated by the type of work they do, find it variable and interesting and believe they make a difference
- There is a genuine focus on your people, people talked about feeling appreciated or receiving recognition and really valued the rewards and benefits available to them, the investment in them and the facilities was mentioned by all those interviewed. People additionally talked about support provided at times of personal challenge
We are incredibly proud of our team and what we have achieved so far, with many more good things to come. Watch this space!
