We are very proud to announce that Cambria’s Charity Partner for 2025 has been selected as Tŷ Hafan. The brilliant team at Tŷ Hafan provide essential and compassionate end of life care for children in their Penarth hospice.
With children and families at the heart of all they do, the charity provides free care and support throughout the community, offering a lifeline throughout any child’s short life, at the end of life and then through bereavement and beyond.
There is a shortage of beds, a shortage of funding and a shortage of time. What there is not a shortage of, however, is an absolutely incredible group of people putting in all sorts of hours and effort to make things more bearable for families. But you can never have too many volunteers, and we’re all in!
The Cambria team will be helping to support with their own organised events, including the Welsh Three Peaks challenge, fundraising golf days, fire walking (wish us luck!) and tons more.
All events this year will donate all proceeds to the cause, and our staff will be volunteering to work in either the Tŷ Hafan hospice or in one of the local shops, not only to lend a hand but to see first-hand how much of an impact a charity like this can have.
And most exciting of all, we’ve musicians and thespians all ready for the pantomime!
We’d like to say a huge thank you to the brilliant team at Tŷ Hafan for supporting our launch event ready for next year, and ensuring everyone understood exactly what is needed and how they can help!
To all of our Cambria friends, colleagues, customers and service providers, if you did want to donate to the case this year and support our efforts – we would be so appreciative. Our target for the year is a minimum of £16,000 – the amount required to run the hospice for a single day!
