Cambria asked Nick to come in and give us the low down on where the detail savings are in structural steelwork, it’s lazy to just assume weight = cost.
We went through the origins of different sections, how pricing has evolved and which particular sections attract a surplus on tonnage price, and which engineering details drive them crazy! We wanted to get ahead of their preferences to keep the bids and packages as efficient as possible.
We had a brilliant session and our Structural Engineers are up to date and fully armed with the latest manufacturing info and the cheapest way to detail hot rolled, cold rolled, secondary steelwork and connections. Great for them, great for us and great for our clients!
